1973 Monte Carlo Instrument Cluster
This instrument cluster is out of a1973 Monte Carlo that I had years ago. I had built an engine and transmission for it, I really liked that car but the body was rusting faster than I could keep up with it along with floorboards for the rear seats rusting due to the rear window leaking so I had to make a decision to let it go. I pulled the engine and transmission out and sold those and I sold the front clip too. I decided to keep the cluster thinking I may get another car some time, and because that cluster was a special gauge package that I don't recall seeing many of those, so I kept it. It's been years since I stored it away in the attic which brings us to now. I believe it still holds some value not for me as much but maybe for someone. Now as you look at the pictures you will notice the clock is not there. That's because like most of those clocks mine too quit working, so I replaced it with a GM oil pressure gauge, it fits and looks halfway decent. Well, that's most of the history on my Monte Carlo and this cluster, here are some pictures. The little capacitor looking thing is something needed for the tach to work.
This cluster will also fit 3rd gen Chevelles, although they might have to rearrange some pin locations on the plug, but it should work.
